Tyrconnell Single Malt (70cl, 43%)

Tyrconnell Single Malt is an Irish single malt from the Cooley distillery, made from fully malted barley, twice distilled in copper pot stills and matured in ex-bourbon casks. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The Tyrconnell name goes back to 1876, when a racehorse of that name won the National Produce Stakes. The nose brings lemon, orange blossom, vanilla and ripe pear, with white chocolate, ginger and a touch of dry oak. The palate is juicy and fresh, with pineapple, guava, lemon cake, orange juice and vanilla. The finish is full and long, with spice, malt, soft fruit, honey and a fine dryness.
