Yamazaki 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Suntory Yamazaki distillery on Honshu, Japan, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured in three types of cask: American ex-bourbon, Spanish ex-sherry and Japanese Mizunara.
The aroma is of sweet fruit, ripe apricots, peaches and citrus, with touches of vanilla, honey, spice and soft wood. The palate brings fruity notes, ripe sweetness, elegant spice and a little oak, with a hint of sherry. The finish is long, warm and complex, with lingering fruit, gentle sweetness and fine spice.
