Yellow Spot 12 Year Old is an Irish whiskey made in a traditional style. It matured for 12 years in a combination of casks: one third bourbon, one third Spanish sherry and one third Malaga.
Malaga is a sweeter fortified wine from the south of Spain, and the casks that held it are said to bring out the character of this whiskey most clearly. The bourbon and sherry casks add their own influence alongside it.
