This is a four-year-old single malt from Nantou Distillery in Taiwan, in a 50cl bottle that comes in a box. It takes its name from Yushan, the highest mountain in Taiwan.
The whisky was matured in bourbon casks, which shape its character.
The nose offers vanilla and caramel with ripe fruit and sweet spice. On the palate it is velvety, with malty sweetness set against a firm oak character. The finish is long, with dried fruit and a light smoky note.
